Bontempi Eclipse Electronic Organ
Eclipse is Bontempi’s old electronic organ, with a romantic name and designed by Giugiaro Design.
This keyboard instrument features a standard 49-key arrangement and comes with functions like automatic rhythm and one-key play,
making it easy for even beginners to enjoy.
The Eclipse organ was developed primarily to appeal to a younger audience, but it is also suitable for people of all ages who
want to have fun with music. For this reason, portability, allowing it to be easily played anywhere, was an essential feature.
The Eclipse is composed of two units: one for the rhythm and keyboard section and another for memory and recording.
One of its unique features is the compact design achieved through the sliding mechanism of the memory unit.
This instrument is often played outdoors. A distinctive detail of Giugiaro Design is the ON-OFF LED indicator,
positioned one level below the surface. The use of a monotone finish, except for the raised black keys, aims to maximize enjoyment
and eliminate the negative image of an overly mechanical and cumbersome instrument.
The organ, an original from 1984 with great sound quality, is also an outstanding design object.
It works perfectly, although some circuit cleaning might be beneficial given its age. It comes with various presets,
rhythm sessions, and some effects.
